About This Tool
The Markdown Table Generator removes the tedium of writing pipe-table syntax by hand. Simply specify how many columns and rows you need, and the tool renders a live spreadsheet-style grid where you can type header names and cell values directly. Alignment for each column — left, center, or right — is controlled through a dropdown at the top of each column, so your output matches exactly the layout you need.
When you click Generate Markdown, the tool calculates the minimum column widths needed to keep the output neatly padded and aligned. The separator row uses the correct colon-based syntax for GitHub Flavored Markdown and every other major Markdown renderer. The result is a properly formatted table that renders perfectly in GitHub README files, documentation wikis, Notion, Obsidian, and any other Markdown-aware platform.
No registration or internet connection is required — the entire generator runs in your browser.
