About This Tool
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It uses a timer to break work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. This structured approach helps maintain focus and prevents mental fatigue.
This tool implements a full Pomodoro timer with visual countdown, audio notifications using the Web Audio API, and a session counter to track your productivity. The timer clearly distinguishes between work sessions (shown in red/tomato) and break sessions (shown in green), helping you stay aware of your current phase.
You can customize the work duration, short break duration, and long break duration to fit your personal workflow. After every 4 completed Pomodoros, a longer 15-minute break is automatically triggered. Sound alerts notify you when each session ends so you don't have to watch the clock.
